The Medieval Age
We have a selection of off-the-peg medieval dresses that are suitable as bridal gowns. These are available to purchase or hire – complete with wig, head-dress, belt, bag, and any other accessories you need. Alternatively, for the perfect wedding, why not let us design and create a unique, beautiful, one-off bridal gown just for you? We regularly design and create medieval gowns that follow authentic medieval styles but are tailored to suit a bride’s particular taste. We can even create co-ordinated costumes for both bride and groom!
We use high-quality materials such as satin, velvet, cotton and silks. We can supply swatches for you to choose materials – or you can even supply your own material. The gown can be made in medieval colours such as reds, purples, blues and greens, or we can combine a medieval design with more traditional wedding colours such as white or cream.
If you opt for a custom design, initially we will meet up with you to discuss and exchange ideas, and look at various patterns and styles.
We will be honest about which colours suit you, and which designs will flatter you, to disguise some aspects of your figure and emphasise your good points! We will keep trying ideas until you’re happy with the result. This is personal service at its best – we want you to have the perfect dress for your wedding, and we love helping you acquire it! You will normally require three to four fitting sessions whilst the dress is being made, with a final fitting approximately four weeks before your wedding, for any last-minute alterations.
